Gold Cycle.


    In the late seventeenth century, exports of Brazilian sugar (produced in the mills of the Northeast) started to decline.
This occurred because the Netherlands had begun to produce this product on the islands of Central America. With lower prices and good quality, the European consumer market has given preference to the Dutch sugar.
