Colonial Brazil.

        The term "discovery" of Brazil is full of Eurocentrism (appreciation of European culture at the expense of others), it disregards the existence of the Indians in our country before the arrival of the Portuguese. 

     Sugar was a product of great acceptance in Europe and reached a large valor.Para better organize the colony, the king decided to divide Brazil into Hereditary Captain. The territory was divided into strips of land that were donated to the donee. These could exploit the resources of the earth, but people were responsible for, protect and establish the cultivation of cane sugar. The basis of the colonial economy was the sugar mill. The sugar company in the period was marked by great social differentiation.
